Our Founder and
Executive Director

Aspire Programs is a private school that provides services to both preschool
and school aged children with a diagnosis within the autism spectrum. Aspire
Programs utilizes techniques of Applied Behavior Analysis. Helen Bloomer is
also the founder and former executive director of Crossroads Center for
Children New York and New England. The New York site was established in
1998.  The New England site opened in 2002.  Previously Ms. Bloomer was
trained and affiliated for ten years at the Children's Unit for Treatment and
Evaluation at SUNY Binghamton under the direction of Dr. Raymond
Romanczyk.

Ms. Bloomer has done extensive work in the field of Autism and Applied
Behavior Analysis, co-authoring and presenting at numerous conferences
nationally and internationally, including but not limited to China, Ireland and  
Brazil. She has consulted and trained numerous school districts and private
agencies in techniques of Applied Behavior Analysis.

Ms. Bloomer has been a member of the executive board for the New York
State Association for Behavior Analysis for several years. She has served as
president, newsletter editor and conference chairperson and representative at
large. Ms. Bloomer is the current Past President of
NYSABA. Ms. Bloomer
was a peer reviewer for New York State Department Health clinical practice
guidelines for Autism/Pervasive Developmental Disorders.
